In the educational setting students are taught to share. Teachers swap materials and ideas. The same should be done with online educational material. Educational software should be free and available to anyone who wants to learn.
How can I get computers for my classroom?
People have old laptops sitting around. Sometimes the problem is a virus, a lack of software, the computer acting whacky, or not having an operating system. Never fear EdUbuntu is here.
Ubuntu is an operating system that is free (not just "hey Mr. Kabe I downloaded this off Limewire even though it's copyrighted" free). It really is completely free and legal to down load and use on your computer. No catch. No strings.
How it works:
1. Download Ubuntu
2. Burn it onto a Blank CD
3. Put the CD into the messed up computer
4. Follow the instructions

Burn a CD with the stuff you just downloaded.
Get the screwed up laptop or computer that is having problems, or not working right. (this only works for operating system problems, computers with viruses, and software issues, not hardware problems). Note: doing this will permanently erase everything on the computer and replace it with a functional Ubuntu (Linux) Operating system.
Put your new Ubuntu disk into the messed up and not quite right computer. Restart the computer.
Do what the computer tells you to do.

You just turned a virus infested, not working, error message shouting, windows is not working properly, computer, into a fully functional working computer with Open Office (similar to Microsoft Word), and FireFox internet explorer, and all the basic software a computer needs for free. You can figure out how it works. When all else fails, have one of your students teach you.
