The Cross Cat Project:
Cross Cat is an education resource for teachers, students, and parents, or anyone who works with special education or special needs children. Cross Cat will provide free educational materials and resources for students with learning disabilities, behavioral disorders, and emotional disorders. It is the online educational classroom resource that will revolutionize the learning environment for emotionally disturbed students, cross categorical students, and students with learning disabilities.

Cross Cat is developed as a resource for teachers and educators working with special education and special needs students across the cross categorical spectrum. The purpose of Crosscat.com is to provide online special education resources for teachers, students, and parents of children with disabilities.
Online special ed resources are important for teachers in self-contained special education or cross categorical classrooms. Mainstreaming or classroom inclusion strategies are an important focus of the Cross Cat Project.
Technology has changed and so has the classroom. Integrating online resources into the learning environment is a crucial step for teachers in special education as well as regular ed classrooms.
Cross Cat will take the approach of universal design. While it will initially focus on special needs, and special education, it will approach learning in such a way that it will be an excellent resource for elementary teachers, middle school teachers, jr. high teachers, high school teachers, and alternative high school teachers.
Developed as a resource for teaching elementary special education students, jr. high special education students, and high school special education students, Cross Cat will provide lesson plans, inclusion adaptation plans, classroom materials, worksheets, activities, online educational games, and online special education tutoring.
